Ask Einstein

Ask what he actually wrote or said — on relativity, war and pacifism, science and religion, the responsibility of the scientist. It searches his own public-domain writings and returns the most relevant passages, cited, entirely in your browser — nothing you type leaves your device. You can also ask him things he never lived to answer ("What would you say about artificial intelligence?"): those arrive as a clearly-labelled inference in his voice, anchored to what he actually wrote — never as a quotation, and abstained when there is nothing of his to ground it in.
